The Strathmore Farmers’ Market is a weekly summer staple of local farmers and crafters in the Strathmore area. Shop fresh produce, local artisans, fresh baking, and more! From June-September enjoy this weekly market on Fridays from 3:00pm-6:30pm. Hosted in the Kinsmen Park pavilion, not far of the Trans-Canada Highway, this outdoor sheltered pavilion makes this market hearty enough to withstand some of the more adverse summer weather. 24 hours Accessible public washrooms are available on the end of the nearly municipal building. Established in 1997, the Strathmore Farmers’ Market is a non-profit society and follows an 80% 20% rule meaning that 80% of products must be baked, produced, or handcrafted right here in Alberta. The market provides direct contact for consumers to producers by following a “make it, bake it, grow it” philosophy. When the summer days of outdoor markets are over, The Strathmore Farmers’ Market also hosts the Fall Fair Market and a Christmas Market, which are annual indoor markets held at the Strathmore Civic Centre.
