More than 100 years ago, idealistic pioneers of all descriptions – from trappers to tie hackers, railroaders to miners, businessmen to bootleggers - carved a home in Edson out of what was little more than a firm place in the muskeg. Our museum offers a fascinating glimpse into our region’s natural world and the pioneer life. The Travel Centre provides plenty of information for the curious traveler, has knowledgeable staff, an internet kiosk, free Wi-Fi, a coffee bar and a gift shop featuring local art and crafts. Although there is a fee to enter the museum, the travel centre and other amenities are free to all.
